Before you summon
The summon system is how players recruit units, and gems are the resource most directly associated with pulls. Before spending, redeem any current rewards on our codes page and inspect the units already in your collection.
Write down the job your army lacks: frontline durability, ranged pressure, or mobility. A clear target prevents every rare result from feeling automatically useful.
How to read the summon screen
- Unit pool: which troops can appear in the current summon.
- Displayed chance: the listed probability for each rarity or unit.
- Cost: the gems required for the action you are about to confirm.
- Banner or update label: whether the pool is temporary or recently changed.
Take a moment to compare the live list with our tracked roster. If the game and an external guide disagree, the game is current.
A smart pulling plan
- Claim active codes and free rewards first.
- Fill a playable loadout before chasing a perfect one.
- Target the role that repeatedly fails in matches.
- Set a gem reserve you will not cross.
- Stop when you have a practical upgrade, even if it is not the rarest possible result.
A reserve is especially useful around updates. New units or balance changes can create a better reason to spend tomorrow than the one available today.
Do not ignore Star Limit
Stars are not only a rarity signal; they also affect loadout construction. Multiple expensive units can create an illegal or lopsided formation. A one- or two-star unit may be essential because it lets the squad keep four useful jobs within the limit.
Before pulling specifically for a four-star unit, test whether it can fit with the other three troops you want. The army builder helps with role coverage; confirm the exact live Star Limit in game.
When should you stop pulling?
Stop when the next summon no longer has a clear formation purpose, when spending would erase your planned reserve, or when the current pool does not improve the role you need. “I already spent a lot” is not a reason to spend more.
Common summon mistakes
- Chasing rarity without checking role overlap.
- Copying old rates after an update changes the pool.
- Spending every gem immediately after receiving a code.
- Forgetting that Star Limit can prevent an expensive roster from becoming a usable loadout.
- Ignoring accessible units that already solve the formation's weakness.
